Whole-Home Design
A cohesive plan so every room works together, not in isolation.

We take on whole-home renovations across West Hills, updating practical ranch layouts into homes that fit how people live now.
West Hills is full of single-story ranch homes with practical, boxy layouts, near landmarks like West Hills Hospital and out toward Valley Circle. Many of these homes have good bones but a floor plan that no longer fits modern life, which makes them strong candidates for a coordinated full-home renovation rather than a room-by-room approach. A whole-home project here typically means reworking the kitchen, every bathroom, and flooring together, on one timeline. West Hills is part of the City of Los Angeles, so we manage LADBS permitting and inspections across the entire project.

What a full home remodel costs in West Hills depends on square footage, how far the demolition goes and which finishes you pick, so there is no single number. The kitchen and bathrooms usually move the total the most, followed by structural changes, electrical panel and plumbing upgrades, flooring and windows. For reference, our kitchens run from $50,000 for a cosmetic refresh to $200,000 for a full remodel, with custom kitchens up to $450,000, and bathrooms start at $40,000. Those figures cover labor and construction materials only, and your finishes are priced separately. After a site visit you get a written, line by line estimate.
Plan on roughly 8 to 12 months for a full West Hills remodel with Girl Flip. Design and permit work happen before construction starts, and additions or structural changes can stretch the schedule. Permits for West Hills go through LADBS, the City of Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety. You get the schedule in writing before we begin.

Homeowners in West Hills often ask us about an ADU builder who will also handle the permits. We build detached ADUs, attached ADUs and garage conversions, and we do it with one crew from design through the final walkthrough.
We begin with a site visit to look at the garage, the lot and the utilities. The City of Los Angeles handles permits through LADBS, and we prepare and submit the plans and engineering for you. Cost and timing vary with the type and size of the ADU, so you get a written scope before work starts.
Our office is in Canoga Park, next door to West Hills, and you can see our nearby work on the Canoga Park ADU page. For the full picture, read about ADU construction in Los Angeles, garage to ADU conversions and the ADU cost guide.
